Nelson Mandela Freedom Race

Start the year in a fun and positive mode doing something healthy and rewarding together as a team or family. On Saturday 13th of February 2012,  the 22nd anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s  historic release from Victor Verster Prison (now Drakenstein Correctional Facility) and his `walk to freedom’ after 27 years in prison will be celebrated and commemorated at the second 27 for Freedom Run, at the Drakenstein Correctional Facility between Paarl and Franschhoek on the R301.  Enter as an individual or a team of 10 colleagues or friends to walk or run the Freedom Route, 10km or 27km.
