Cape Town Festival of Beer
The Cape Town Festival of Beer is a gathering for beer enthusiasts, connoisseurs and those just wanting to learn more about beer. Set against the scenic backdrop of Table Mountain and the new Cape Town Stadium at Hamilton’s Rugby Club on Green Point Common a short walking distance from the V&A Waterfront. There will be over twenty breweries, more than fifty different beers and no less than seven different styles of brewing to taste or buy.
At The Cape Town Festival of Beer size doesn’t matter, its about bringing everyone together into one experience, from the micro and home brewers to the mega brewers - it’s about SA’s collective passion for beer.
This years event promises to be the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere and growing global interest from International brewers wanting to be present at the event!
Its about beer style and category competitions, master classes and gaining a better understanding of the golden liquid we hold so endearingly to our heart. It’s braai’s and bonding, lucky draws and taste-off’s. Watch world-class bands and entertainment whilst seated Oktoberfest-style at beer hall tables served by ‘geesfull’ frauleins. There will be a themed day for the Saturday to look back on some South African heritage of beer and sport. More about this closer to the time.
Brewers from every corner of the globe and from all over South Africa will be taking part. Some of this year’s confirmed breweries include; Camelthorn, Darling, Bavaria, Corona, Carling Black Label, Napier, Jack Black, Paulaner, Mitchells, Castle, Fosters, Erdinger, Liefmans, Oettinger, Cobra, Tiger, Singha, Duvel, Maredsous, Valentines and many more.
With a wide variety of food stalls no one’s going hungry and there is secure parking for all.
