MiXiT Musical Mix
Take a musical journey across several genres from Rock to Rock ‘n Roll to Swing, Country, Dance and Latin American music with the new show “MiXiT” at the Carnival City Show Bar every Friday and Saturday night between November 2011 and February 2012.
The show opens with the high energy drumming and guitar riffs of rock classics from artists such as ZZ Top, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, Journey, Metallica, Steppin Wolf, Fleetwood Mac Adam Lambert.
This is followed by the rhythmic beat of Rock n Roll’s best loved hits such as Chuck Berry’s Rock Around The Clock, and the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley’s Hound Dog, Burning Love and Suspicious Minds. The distinctive jazz and big band sound of Swing will include songs by Michael Buble.
The Swing and big band sound is replaced by banjo’s, guitar’s, fiddle’s and harmonica’s in the Country segment with popular dance tunes such as Credence Clearwater Revival’s timeless Midnight Special, to Tom Cochrane’s Life is a Highway and These Boots, Hillbilly Rock and Country Roads.
To get the audience dancing in their seats, more recent hits which include a modern version of Soft Cell’s Tainted Love, Michael Jackson’s monster hit Thriller, Stop in the Name of Love, Edge of Glory, Moves Like Jagger, Adelle’s Set fire to the rain to name a few, from hip hop to freestyle. The show moves into the Latino finale, with smoking hot renditions of songs by artists such as Gloria Estefan, Via Con Dios, Lou Bega and Marc Anthony.
The show is produced and directed by Roberto Pucci, Choreographed by Craig and Natasha Smith and features the vocal talent of Ali Pucci and Bjorn Blignaut. The band comprises of Rob Pucci on drums & vocals, Sven Larsen on guitar & vocals and Gary Burts on keyboards & vocals.
The dancers include Craig Smith and Natalie Woolf, three-times winners of both the British Open and the World Professional Exhibition Cabaret Championships as well as Natasha Smith, Henry Viana, Dale Scrimgeour, Alcione Goncalves and Chantell Joubert.
